That's the last time I have to play pomp and circumstance. I've waited three long years for that moment...
Actually, that's not what I was waiting for, but it's still cool 8) . This is kind of an awkward state to be in; I'm very much looking forward to being a senior, but at the same time, I don't want to leave my childhood behind. But I suppose the future is the only thing we get, so here we go...
We're thinking about ressurecting the sax quartet next year, which would take a huge amount of work, but would be really awesome. I've got a starting lineup worked out, but it's not finalized, so I'm still flexible.
BTW, I MADE SECTION LEADER!!!! :D :D :D Of course, even after 3 years, Mr. Reed still can't pronounce my last name correctly  . Our section leader team for the alto saxes rocks! It's Grace Hutchens, Christina Hunt, Cameron Solley, and I. And if something goes seriously wrong, I can always stick Matt and Sam to it; I'll let 'em raise some hell.
Well, long day, I'm going to bed. Seeya all later. Peace 8)
Last night was a doozy. We ran into some problems with the performance, but the cast did a good cover job. The dog got distracted and started running around everywhere instead of to Sarah, but Hilary got that back under control, so it wasn’t too horrible. As Meredith commented, “The only thing that was consistent about tonight’s performance was the music.” GO ORCHESTRA! I even get some improvised solo breaks on anything that involves Shea, Cassidy, and Angie (ie: Easy Street, Little Girls, reprises, on alto) and also on Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile (on tenor). It’s fun.
Anyways, I got to see Breanna again :D :D :D . I wish I got to spend more time with her, but the way things have been going, I’ll be hard-pressed to spend 5 minutes with her on any given day  . I guess I’ll just have to see how things work out...
I’ve got another show to play this afternoon at 2PM, but I suspect that there won’t be that much of an audience. However, mom and dad probably WILL let me go to Eat ‘n Park today after the show. I'll get to hang with my MTC buddies again, just like the good old days...
BTW, I also bought a Vandoren V16 ebonite alto mouthpiece off eBay. It's supposed to be like a Meyer, only better. We'll just see about that...
Next week, I've got the AP Chem Exam on Tuesday, a few days of blah in class, MTC rehearsals to wazoo, and MAYBE if I'm lucky, I get to see Breanna again :D .
I met a friend of hers named Amanda who wants to act as a messenger for us. I don't really know what I'm doing, though because I've just been in a haze as of late; AP Exams tend to fry your brain.
I get to go to MTC tomorrow for another 4 hours of rehearsal with the cast, which is a pain, but the show is shaping up nicely.
Man, I can't think straight enough to put anything meaningful here... catch ya later...
